PAEDOPHILES were caught at the Faslane nuclear submarine base on the Clyde, shock papers reveal.
Ministry of Defence figures show sex beasts were detected at the Royal Navy’s Trident missile HQ three years in a row.
In one horrifying case, MoD cops dealt with a pervert charged with grooming a child aged under 13.
Nats MSP Bill Kidd said last night: “This is extremely worrying.”
And he raised blackmail fears by warning foreign spies could use information gathered on perverts at the Clyde HQ to extort defence secrets.
Ministry of Defence documents reveal 200 crimes were uncovered at the site in three years — including sexual assault, child grooming and the possession and distribution of indecent images of youngsters.

Mr Kidd asked: “Is it possible that someone may have been open to blackmail or pressure to abuse their position while working for the MoD inside this extremely dangerous weapons base?
“This kind of behaviour could be used by a foreign power to exercise pressure.”
The anti-nuclear activist added: “This is a good number of people inside a very small community.
“With these types of crimes taking place, it does make me wonder how good the authorities are at doing the appropriate checks.
“It is extremely worrying that this kind of behaviour has been going on for a long time, while the rest of us were totally unaware of it.”
Figures from the MoD, published in response to a Freedom of Information request, show sex offenders were detected at the Royal Navy’s top security base for three years in a row from 2012 to 2015.
MoD cops dealt in 2013 with an offender charged with grooming a kid — listed officially as “communicating indecently with a young child under 13”.
The next year, officers tracked down another offender accused of “handling obscene materials”.
And in 2015, another unnamed fiend was charged with handling child abuse images — listed as “taking, distributing, possessing indecent images of children”.
That year there was a separate offence of “indecent, obscene or menacing communications”.
The paedophile crimes account for a handful of the charges recorded at the naval base, and neighbouring Coulport, over the period.
Others include misuse of computer equipment, sexual assault, theft, threatening and abusive behaviour, housebreaking, and drug and fraud raps.
houses 3,000 service personnel, 800 relatives and 4,000 civilian staff.
Chancellor George Osborne last year announced a £500million upgrade of the base — prompting fury from the SNP, who want to rid Scotland of nuclear missiles.
Kath Stipala, of the National Association of People Abused in Childhood, said: “Child abusers are found at all levels of society, all professions and walks of life.
“Sadly, it is a lot more common than people think or realise.”
Incidents recorded at Faslane
An MoD spokesperson said: “Faslane is equivalent to a small town with thousands of military, civilian and contractor staff working and living there.
“It is inevitable some crime will occur but the level is reducing and is no worse than in an ordinary British town of comparable size.”
Fling site leak quiz
WE revealed Faslane workers were among love rats exposed in the Ashley Madison leak.
Security issues were raised and a probe launched after the flings site was hacked, right, to reveal 52 accounts registered there.
Users’ names, email addresses and birth dates were exposed last year, as were map coordinates and their computer IP addresses.
GPS map locations of 130 individuals could be linked to Scots military bases, with 128 registered to men and two to women — both at Faslane. Found here
