The court heard evidence at the High Court in Glasgow

A VILE paedophile who filmed himself abusing a three-year-old boy was jailed yesterday for close to four years.
Chris Hume, 29, committed the offences when left to babysit the young boy in a Glasgow flat on October 11, last year.
Prosecutor Angela Gray said: “Prior to the day of the incident the accused had never been left alone with the young boy.”
At around 2pm the boy’s father left the flat to pick up his wife and asked Hume to babysit.
Ms Gray said: “ The accused took the opportunity to rape the boy and whilst doing so filmed the act using his mobile telephone.”
When the parents returned home Hume was sitting on the couch and the boy was in his bedroom.
The child then entered the living room and accused Hume of sexually abusing him.
At this point Hume became irate and started to wave his arms around and told the boy: “Mate, you were the one that was being bad and pulling down your trousers”.
He added: “I am no having this” and swore at the boy.
Hume then ran away leaving behind his two mobile phones and his jacket.
The family contacted the police.
Police Scotland’s Cybercrime Unit managed to extract footage from the accused’s telephone and a video clip of the incident was recovered.
The boy can be heard on the footage saying “I want to see the camera” and the accused replies “Quick, quick. Before your Daddy comes”.
The footage lasts for approximately 5 minutes.
During the recording, the accused is heard to call the complainer a “good boy”.
Defence counsel Frances Connor said: “My client is genuinely horrified by his actions that day.”
She told the court he is undergoing programmes to try to understand why he committed the offences.
