BEADY-EYED tinselly arm puppet Emu has become the latest 1970s BBC personality to be accused of paying unwanted physical attention to a member of the public during a visit to Television Centre.
A Yorkshire man has come forward, claiming that “Emu touched me in a way that seemed like just a bit of fun at the time, but which I now realise was
wholly inappropriate.”

ROD HULL’S DEATH FALL

The death of comic Rod Hull has been described as a slightly bizarre, but tragic, accident at an inquest.
East Sussex Coroner Alan Craze recorded a verdict of accidental death six weeks after Mr Hull died following a fall from the roof of his home at Winchelsea, near Rye.
But the pathologist who examined his body found that the entertainer’s judgement may have been impaired by alcohol when he went on to the roof to adjust his aerial during a football match.
Mr Craze said: “It is not a level of alcohol which would be in any way incapacitating.”

Mr Hull, 63, who was best known in the 1970s for his double act with his aggressive puppet Emu, was under the drink-drive limit when he fell through an adjoining greenhouse.
He was watching Manchester United in the European Cup with his 19-year-old son Oliver.
Oliver told the inquest: “He said he would go up and fix the aerial. I was to stay and tell him when the signal was good by leaning out of the window and shouting.”
He said his father often went out onto the roof to adjust the aerial when the reception was bad.
Oliver said he heard a “light thud” followed by a heavy thud. He found his father lying on the floor and alerted the emergency services

Carol Lee Scott, is English Entertainer, singer best known as a popular entertainer on British television in the 1980s and 1990s as Grotbags. Prior to her television work, Carol Lee Scott had a singer career on the international cabaret circuit, and released two albums.
Carol Lee Scott started her career after moving to London where Carol sang in local pubs, while working day shifts at record department at Rumbelows. She got her break when she joined Pontins where she worked for 19 years, playing at all of the UK camps, along with camps in Scandinavia, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey. During the off season, Carol played many of the northern of England and Scotland working men’s clubs circuit and has worked with many other stars including The Four tops, Morecambe & Wise and Tommy Cooper.
During this time, Carol created an album which see was able to sell at her concerts, but over time become commercially available.
